We had the pleasure of creating this 60 second “Style Tips” video for Simpli Home – check out the incredible colour on these Roundstone Chairs – they are perfect for Diwali
These days, imagery is everything. Having great photos to showcase what you do, is priceless and makes for great content on social media. We had the pleasure of shooting for EJ Entertainment this past weekend. Let’s just say these guys know how to get a dance floor hopping! It was the annual CPA convocation party at the Westin Harbour Castle in downtown Toronto. They shared the stage with youtube sensation, Mike Tompkins. Check out some of these awesome shots capturing what EJ entertainment does best.
We were thrilled to shoot the food photography for Athletes Kitchen in Liberty Village. If you’re into healthy eating, an athlete, or just plain trying to lose weight and be healthy, this is a must try. Let’s just say after the photography was done, we had a grand old time sampling all the delicious food! Yalda & Oscar are awesome folks and their food is fresh, tasty and superb. Don’t blame us if the pics below make you hungry 🙂
We were so thrilled to have erotic romance author K.T. Frederick in the studio for her new book’s headshots. We opted for a casual sitting-at-my-desk-shot…but just before wrapping up, we just had to to a sexy, steamy one too ;-). (yes, this is the same person in both shots…the magic of lighting!) Enjoy
We had the best time working the photography end of a very awesome, campy, hilarious short film called “Portal to Hell” (by Matt Watts and Vivieno Caldinelli) starring 80s wrestling legend and overall bad-ass, Roddy Piper!
The story is great: Roddy Piper plays Jack, an apartment complex maintenance man who discovers a portal to another dimension in the basement…aaaand then fights Cthulhu! WTF!!!! Awesome.
We were doing photography stills and we knew we should grab a moment to create a “hero image” for the film, in the limited time we had Mr. Piper in Toronto. With that said…it boiled down to a whole 50 seconds of shooting time with him…we had the idea scoped out, just needed him to step in and do his thing – easier said than done when trying to shoot a movie in 3 days. But here’s the thing: in all our years shooting actors, the vast majority of them need a little push, a little direction, and little “scene” in order to give something to the camera. With Roddy Piper, we gave him the 2 second “this is what we are trying to do” and he RAN with it. What a showman. Clearly shows why he is a veteran of entertainment, giving his all to arenas full of fans. Check out the image…we kinda love it!
Good luck on the feature, boys!
We were hired to photograph Second City Toronto’s Opening Gala of their brand new Training Centre. It was an awesome event full of (and we mean FULL) of very funny people.
We took things a bit further and created a portrait station in the back to photograph VIPs/funny folk, giving them their moment to shine.
We had the opportunity to do some product and lifestyle photography for Vango, the mobile photo booth on wheels. Though it’s not actually a vintage Volkswagen van, it is outfitted to look like one, but with modern features. It’s a totally engaging and definitely a new and refreshing spin on the old photo booth concept.
You may never meet a nicer mean-looking dude, ever. DJ (Matt) B runs events all over the Greater Toronto Area for EJ Entertainment and his command of a dance floor is complete mastery. We did some promo shots for him…he’s big, he’s mean-looking…but super nice and super cheerful…looks are deceiving, but the music ain’t!
A DJ and business man with a wit and sarcasm that leaves you rolling; Elliot built EJ Entertainment from the ground up, himself. Years of working in the clubs and the music industry helped to guide this record-scratching, break-dancing punk into one of Toronto’s finest entertainment companies. If you are on a rockin’ dance floor, there’s a good chance EJ is on the go-round! Check out some of the promoshots we did to convey several different moods.
